Our Horses

Pepper
Named for his freckles, Pepper is a great all around pony.  He is loved for his steadiness and ability to handle riders of all levels, from those working on balance and strength to those learning to ride on their own.

Ritchie
Named after a donor of EC and sponsored by Bob Tiernan and John McArdle, both of San Francisco, Ritchie is an all around favorite.  His quarter horse size allows him be most versatile.  He never denies his riders or leaders.

Santana
Meet Santana...our new addition to our horse family!

Santana is a Norwegian Fjord. Known for their strength and size, fjords make wonderful therapy horses. She came to us to work with our new adult programs and to make everyone smile! Everyone loves her, especially her new neighbor, Penny!

Shiloh
The "matriarch" of the barn, Shiloh was one of the first EC horses!  Her kind eye tells it all as she welcomes those who need that extra understanding.  Her grace and beauty make her a favorite at EC!

Thunder
There is nothing mroe empowering than learning to ride.  Thunder has been a great lesson horse for beginner riders.  He is slowly working his way into therapy rides as he gains the experience in the program.

Cooper
After being rescued off the track, cooper has become a favorite of many riders learning to ride independantly.  He loves his buddy Nova though they compete for most handsome horse in the barn!

Kiray and Eclipse
Their hungarian breeding gives Kiray and Eclipse their great size and strength.  Along with that comes a calm, friendly disposition that makes them perfect for the program as they get ready to take on riders of all size!

Molly and Capri
While they look like twins, both Molly and Capri play a key role at EC!  Capri's breeding makes her one of a kind!  Molly is a favorite for instructors due to her predicability and steady gait.

Benny
Benny is an all around great pony!  His versatility and good personality make him a favorite at EC!

Buster
A neighbor and friend to Benny, Buster is also an all around great pony.  Loved by therapists, instructors and riders, Buster's smooth gait makes him a "cool dude" at EC!

Milky
As calming as her name, Milky is as sweet as they come!  There is nothing that fazes this great sized pony except perhaps another mare coming between her buddy Shiloh and herself!

Nova
Nova's Morgan/ Arabian mix gives him his great looks and tough demeanor.  Underneath that toughness is a great horse for riders of many levels.  We will let him keep thinking he is King of the Barn!

Oreo
As sweet as the cookie he is named after, Oreo was a high ranking show pony in his day!  His great movement is useful for therapy riders and his good nature perfect for those who ride independantly.

Penny
She may be a mini but she can hold her own!  Having grown up as a cart puller, Penny has been a great companion to many of our riders.  She is great for our grooming sessions and loves the walks she is taken on as we empower our riders to lead her along!

MJ
MJ has grown up at EC and become a favorite of therapists.  His turnout buddies, Buster and the other ponies might argue his sweetness, but not the children at EC who love him so!

Bubbles
As cute as his name, Bubbles has been a great pony for the very young clients at EC.  Our cute little speech therapist who measures in at 4' 10" would agree, Bubbles is worth twice his weight in gold!

Bobo
Bobo has quickly become a favorite independent riding horse and has the strength and demeanor of a great therapy horse.  Donated by the Domitrovich family and pictured here with his former owner, Karen Domitrovich.

Apple Annie
Apple Annie is a 15 hand chestnut quarter horse. She is 17 years old and weigh about 975 lbs.. She was trained by Sally to teach all kinds of riders to do dressage, jumping and vaulting. This year, Sally decided that she would be a great therapy horse and brought her to help all the riders at EC.

Baylo
Baylo is a Morgan/Arab known as a Morab. He is 14.3 hands tall and weighs 886 lbs. Baylos came to us last winter from a wonderful EC family. He is 14 years old.

Carly the Cat
EC just wouldn't be the same without its queen, Carly. At times we wonder if she thinks she a small horse as Carly speeds across the arena!  She also loves to play "hide and seek" with our riders who love her so dearly!
